Description: The Library Residency is part of the OhioLINK Luminaries Program and offers hands-on resume building experience in the information studies profession, exploring its purpose, reach and expertise. The OhioLINK Library Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative seeks to create and promote career opportunities in librarianship, information studies, and data sciences to individuals from under-represented populations and economically disadvantaged environments. The Initiative aims to identify and encourage diverse candidates for Ohio’s libraries and library-related industries that are more representative of the state’s population, while also encouraging and supporting efforts towards greater diversity, equity, and inclusion at the library level.

Description: Great Lakes Community Action Partnership has been serving the northwest Ohio area for more than 50 years. We began in 1965 as WSOS Community Action Commission following the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. As a social service agency, we manage programs for low-income individuals, senior citizens, homeless, unemployed and provide education for pre-school children. The services are provided in numerous counties in NW Ohio, including Lucas, Wood, Sandusky, Ottawa, Seneca, Huron, and Erie.


The Great Lakes Community Action Partnership, a non-profit agency that administers the Rural Community Assistance Program (RCAP) in Ohio, will offer four temporary positions beginning in late May 2022. These jobs will run for 18 months. 40 hours per week is expected during the summer months, with reduced hours (10-20 per week) during the fall and winter. The purpose is to assist small communities complete water lead (Pb) service line inventories. This work is vital to help the communities plan and seek funding to replace them.
