Description: There are three positions:
Interns will work to support the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Crime Strategies Unit. Projects may include supporting the prosecutor’s security map app program, the “Daily Incidents Analysis Report,” and acting as intelligence support for gang and serial offense cases.
Interns will work to support the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Major Trial Unit (MTU). Projects may include assisting in the preparation for trial of homicide and sexual assault cases. In addition, interns will assist in the coordination of a multiple agency review of ongoing homicide and sexual assault investigations. There will also be an opportunity to work on reviewing applications for conviction integrity reviews.
Undergraduate and/or graduate level students must be currently enrolled in a college or university program. Preferred experience/knowledge in communications and criminal justice support. Students must receive college credit, complete an independent study, or receive federal work study funds for placement consideration in this internship opportunity.

Description: Study and implementation of Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) capabilities into lunar surface robotics to create an experimental space communications testbed, and evaluate performance under varying conditions and configurations.
Duties and responsibilities of the intern: Researching the specific applicability of DTN to robotic platforms, collaborating with DTN team, tailoring networking protocol to fit application and implementing on a small computing platform such as a Raspberry Pi to demonstrate functionality. The resulting system will be combined with other elements (such as instrumentation and physical layer communications) to experiment with data delivery methods from the surface of the moon back to Earth. Description: Interns will gain an in-depth view of how the GCFB operates during the internship and will be assigned to a specific department. Responsibilities of interns will vary based on the intern’s background and interest. Possible activities include research and analysis of new policies and initiatives; working with staff on critical GCFB projects and processes; attending staff meetings and community events; and participating in volunteer experiences. All interns will participate in a series of enrichment activities highlighting key GCFB programs, services, and functions. Each intern will complete a department-enhancing project and present their work to senior leadership at a SIP Summit during the final week of the program.

Role: University Hospitals Health Scholars Program: Summer Mentor Position
Job Type: Job
Pay: $2,000/month

Description: The primary role of the summer mentor position is to build on CEDI’s existing framework for its pathway program, U.H. Health Scholars. This includes engaging schools, teachers, families, and community assets to support cohorts of 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders on their path to successful careers in the health professions. The students will be supported in three areas: social/emotional development, executive functioning skills development, and exposure/academics. The mentor is responsible for modeling behavior and ensuring that all scholars participate fully in all activities. The Health Scholars Mentor is akin to a summer camp counselor. Health Scholars will meet from Mid-June to Mid-July, from 8 am to 3 pm. Mentors are expected to be with the students for the whole day of the entire duration of the program (June 19 - July 15 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm)!
